modify OpenRC to (possibly continuously?) output messages when waiting for things (e.g. on shutdown)

Description (last modified by roy) (diff)
As communicated on IRC, I had the problem that a machine
seemed to be hanging on shutdown for quite a long time
(several minutes) until the shutdown process finished.
It turned out that a failed stop of fcron was the cause
for that long delay. The actual delay occured right after
the last "regular" service had been stopped and before
the filesystems were unmounted.
It would have saved me quite some headaches and made
analysis much easier if OpenRC had been telling me
that it was actually waiting for something...
It might be a good idea to output such a status message
every minute or so.
TIA!
