Description

I was looking at the iproute2 home page,  http://www.linuxfoundation.org/collaborate/workgroups/networking/iproute2, and noticed that they believe we should be depricating ifconfig/route in linux in favor of the iproute2 suite.

The network script supports iproute2, but staticroute does not.

Would you be willing to support iproute2 syntax as well as route syntax in the staticroute script?

Maybe there is away to tell which syntax the user is using and pass the arguments to the appropriate tool?

iproute2 is now supported by the staticiproute variable.
This allows full access to the iproute2 syntax.
