Two Lemote Fulong minicomputers were donated for the purpose of developing Gentoo Linux. I have upgraded both systems to 512MB RAM (from the stock default of 256MB) and both run 64-bit kernels.
The specifications are as follows:
I use zhenghe (named after Zheng He) as a crash-and-burn experimental box. I plan to reload this unit every release to ensure build quality. Since the machines are only small, I'll also be taking this unit to uni so I can do MIPS testing away from home. There will be however, times when the machine is plugged in and available for extended periods.
taijia (named after Tai Jia) is set up as a desktop PC, and will be accessible 24/7. I use it as a primary desktop presently, however having upgraded the RAM, the machine idles most of the time, thus should be able to handle a shared load. It will be available for fellow Gentoo developers for package testing.
Both machines have SSH available directly via IPv6, and have ports forwarded via NAT on IPv4. Please refer to the following table for access details. All requests for access must be accompanied by a reference from a senior Gentoo/MIPS developer.
