Gentoo Foundation Board of Trustees President interviewed by LinuxCrazy
Posted on March 30, 2008 by Donnie Berkholz

Earlier this week Roy Bamford, the newly elected President of the Gentoo Foundation Board of Trustees, was interviewed by David Abbott from LinuxCrazy.

Along with some personal information like his long Linux and Gentoo experience, his hardware and the origin of his nickname, a lot of more serious topics were mentioned, including the most recent challenges the Gentoo Foundation is facing.

Roy gives some insight into Gentoo Foundation reinstatement process, discusses short and long term plans of our new Board, explains in detail the SFC option and also answers some of the questions that are very often raised in the community, like the ways a user can contribute to Gentoo.

The interview is available as a podcast from the LinuxCrazy page.

David Hubbard (dch24) created a transcript of the interview on Gentoo Forums for everybody who prefers reading over listening.

David Abbott already plans to interview some other well-known Gentoo developers. The next person on his list is Mike Frysinger, a member of the Gentoo Council and many Gentoo core projects like base system and toolchain. So stay in tune with the LinuxCrazy page.

Discuss this!

Łukasz Damentko contributed the draft for this announcement.
