Suspend-To-Ram

The most difficult part of suspend-to-ram is getting the video back. However I also had another problem where first my network card did not work after ~30 mins and in later kernels it did not even resume. That problem was solved by a kernel patch, but after the patch was committed, it worked only for me when I added acpi=noirq to my kernel append. http://bugme.osdl.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2643

Getting Video Back for Radeon Cards

Framebuffer is first a problem to get video back on my radeon card. I did not get it working to suspend with loaded intel-agp module. But whithout framebuffer and intel-agp, I have two options to get the video back after successfull resume:
1) A small vgaposter, that brings video back when executed in the non-framebuffer console. You can find the source there: http://www.doesi.gmxhome.de/linux/tm800s3/resources/boot-radeon.c. Emerge lrmi and compile with gcc -o boot-radeon boot-radeon.c -llrmi
2) A Xorg patch. The patch is included in Gentoo and will just work when you suspend/resume from X

It is also possible to resume from frambuffer with this kernel-patch, when you only use the radeonfb driver, vesafb will break! The patch currently has the only problem that you need to press a key on resume, but there could be worse problems, get them there:
radeon-s3-resume-2.6.9.patch
radeon-s3-resume-2.6.10.patch

AVM Fritz Cards

I made some ebuilds to get the fritz cards work in Gentoo linux. net-dialup/fritzcapi and net-misc/capi4hylafax. You can see my capi4hylafax config here: config.faxCAPI
