Since 2004, we have been hosting annual Gentoo UK conferences. Following on from the success of the previous two events, we are pleased to announce the Gentoo UK 2006 Conference.
This year, the conference will take place on Saturday 8th July 2006, in Central London. The appointed venue is The Resource Centre, situated on Holloway Road. More information about the venue is available.
Anyone and everyone interested in Gentoo Linux is welcome to attend. The conference will feature a series of presentations mostly given by Gentoo developers, as well as some general discussion and help sessions, not to forget social events and a chance to get to know users and developers of the distribution.
Registration is now open. As our numbers are limited, we require people to register before the event, by simply leaving a name and email address. The registration form can be found here.

2006-07-04: Added Friday night details to the social page. I have now emailed everyone who registered with some event details. If you did not receive an email, please contact me ASAP, because it probably means that you aren't on the list. One email bounced; larry (ng_ministry2000), if you read this, please email me. We still have some spaces available, it's not too late to register.
2006-07-01: Preliminary programme published.
2006-06-30: I'm extremely pleased to report that we have almost reached capacity for the event hall. However, this does mean that I will have to close registration and require that all attendees are on the registration list. If you do not register quickly, you will not be able to attend.
2006-06-27: Several people have asked when the event will be starting on July 8th. It will start at 10am, doors will be open from 9:45. A complete schedule will be published soon.
2006-06-24: As well as a few additions to the list of attending developers, we have a new confirmed speaker, Andrew Cowie of Operational Dynamics. See the speakers page for more info.
2006-06-16: The European shipment has arrived! Gentoo developers Danny van Dyk, Bryan Østergaard, and Tobias Scherbaum will be flying over for the event. Hopefully a few more will follow. See the Speakers page for more details of attending developers. Also, I added details of a super-cheap hostel to the Venue page.
2006-06-14: Added some more hotel details to the venue page. Also we have more confirmed speakers and attending developers on the Speakers page. Finally, it looks likely we'll have several continental devs flying over from various parts of Europe - stay tuned!
2006-06-11: Added some cheap accommodation info to the venue page. If anyone knows of any other cheap places to stay, please let me know.
2006-06-10: Registration open. Please register as early as possible.
2006-06-09: Planning is back on-track, the conference is definitely happening on 8th July as previously planned. Website has been updated with venue details and directions.
