This is a plot of lines changed per month to gentoo/xml/htdocs/doc/en/. 
Our docs grew faster and faster until a peak around mid-2006, then they 
started growing slower. For the past 9 months, progress has been slow. 
This is a combination of three reasons:

-We've already documented so many of the core issues of setting up a 
Gentoo Linux system.

-Our docs team doesn't have the contributors to do any more than they're 
doing now.

-You can see the previous peaks, which coincide with releases. Since we 
aren't doing normal releases anymore, we don't have the periodic drive 
for doc updates.
